Athanasios Bagatzounis was born in 1972 in Kozani, where he lives until now. He is the Managing Director of Bagatzounis & Sons SA, a family owned business that produces, processes, packages and sells spices, scented plants, herbs, beverages and other agricultural products. The company is based in Vatero, Kozani, Western Macedonia region.
He holds a Bachelor in Marketing and Advertising, University of Wisconsin/I.C.B.S/Thessaloniki Business School (1990-1992), a Diploma in Organization & Management of Business-Organizations, Hellenic Open University (2015) and a M.SC degree in Product & Systems Design in Western Macedonia Technological Institute of Western Macedonia (2018).
Bagatzounis company is partner of “FEEDMAP” a research programme for the “Holistic Approach to the Sustainable Use of Domestic Aromatic Plants for the Production of Innovative Bioactive Foods for Humans and Animals”. The aim of this programme is to create new innovative food and human food products from by-products derived from the processing of Greek aromatic and medicinal plants (AMP).
